TrusCo was set up to assist individuals with their development and projects delivery needs.
People today are time poor, some have the experience, others don’t, either way, no one with the means wants to miss out on their dream project, or the opportunity of a profitable development, simply because you don’t have the time. TrusCo pride ourselves on being your eyes and ears for the entire development and project delivery process. We can come in and out of the process as much as required by our clients. We develop our own projects, so approach every project like it’s our own, whilst also respecting the final decision sits with the client. Our hope is that when required, we provide our clients with the required tools to make the best ongoing decisions. We also bring 25 years of experience delivering some of the worlds largest and complex projects, but at the same time, our own developments are no where near that size, so we fully appreciate the complexities with respect to every project no matter how large or small.
We are not a large company, and therefore only take on select clients and projects where we believe we add value to the process.
The development, delivery and construction industry is not an exact science, and every project carries risk. In our experience, contracting without risk does not exist, but the risk profile on a project is influenced by the delivery method being adopted. There are plenty of ways to deliver projects. And the most suitable delivery method for each project and each of our clients’ needs can vary from project to project. Therefore, selecting the correct contract type, or bespoke variances of the standard forms of contracts to suit a projects needs, is a process that can dictate any developments success and failure. We are not lawyers, and do not pretend to be, however, we often work very closely with our client's legal teams to ensure that the most suitable delivery method, and relevant contract clauses are correctly drafted to ensure the ideal risk profile is achieved for each of our projects.
Financing a project or a development is also a key consideration for many of our clients. We have found, that once appointed, we often end up dealing directly with the financier’s risk and delivery teams. We often provide the financiers with a level of comfort that there is an extra set of eyes and ears on the project. A set of eyes and ears with over 25 years of project and delivery experience.
Considering our range of experience, we do offer the full cradle to grave service with respect to any development. However, history has proven to us that not all clients require the full services on offer. We therefore offer any part of the process. What we have found is that we can add the most value prior to any major contracts or agreements being put in place for the delivery of the projects. We are being approached more and more lately by people that have appointed a contractor only to find themselves in the uncomfortable position of completely unexpected budget and time blow outs.
Often, we see that with the correct guidance from the outset, many of these scenarios could have been avoided, or with better education, the client would have been aware of the risk prior to commencing the project.
